Ralph Crocker's 2008 Season and 2009 Plans
"My Holbrook All Motor 807 inch engine has been responsible for putting me in the 6's. In 2008 I was runner up at the IHRA Nationals at US131 and finished in the Top Ten in the NHRA Dart Top Sportsman Div 3 Series. For 2009 my focus will be on running all the NHRA Division 3 Top Sportsman events. My wife Mary has become very involved in our racing program and we're going to try to running the car with just the two of us. I'm really forward to sharing my love of drag racing with the most important person in my life. My relationship with Chris and his crew is going on it's fifth year now. Chris is currently freshening up the motor for the 2009 season. The great part about working with them was that they not only took the time to learn what I wanted to race, they learned "how" I raced. Nitrous was an option, but Chris knew it didn't fit "my style of racing" The motor package Chris developed for me not only fit my racing needs, it also fit my budget. There were no surprises when the bill came, and I couldn't ask for more support from a shop than what I've received. They've guided me from the world of 9.50 racing into the 6.70 zone. The motor has much more potential, but Chris has been keeping a close eye on me and would like me to run it as is for now. At age 64, and fairly new to the sport, I want to thank Chris and the entire crew at Holbrook Racing Engines for turning my dream of running in the 6's to a reality". Ralph Crocker
