Chuck DeMory Retires
Chuck's DeMory retired from Drag Racing at the end of the 2008 season to spend or time with his other pursuits. Chuck was an Elder Statesman in the Drag Racing community. His racing history goes back to circle track racing stock cars at the age of 14 in the 50's. Chuck used to run at Soldier Field and the 1/2 mile banked track where O'Hare Airport is now. Chuck won Championships in the Midwest UDRA Super Stock division and twice in Pro Stock. Chuck has been driving Pro Stock cars ever since. He met Chris Holbrook when they were competing in IHRA Pro Stock. Chuck and Chris decided to join forces in 2004. Chuck's last ride was one the most beautiful 2008 Shelby GT's ever seen. We don't know if Chuck is going back to boxing or what his next big adventure might be. What ever he does, we wish him well and he will be truly missed by everyone at Holbrook Racing Engines.
